He considered indulging in an illicit tryst, but he didn’t have the energy for the dalliance, or the memory for the deceit.

ReplyDeleteI like this. There's an inherent human honesty in admitting that a lot of what passes for decent behavior is actually laziness or inertia. I know I should find it sad, but I don't.
