I needed a late night snack
I grilled a slice of delicious Indian naan flatbread
I reached into my spice cabinet for cinnamon
This is when it all went wrong for me
I scattered a significant amount on the steaming bread

In bad light, Old Bay looks just like cinnamon
It tastes nothing like it
I so totally feel for you.
ReplyDeleteFantastic 55! I have never seen an Old Bay container that big! Sorry you got missed last week...came here first...glad I did...have enjoyed the music here too. Thank you! TK
ReplyDeleteThere's not much worse than expecting one flavor and getting another. I remember once grabbing what I thought was a grape and popping it into my mouth. It was an olive. I love olives, but not when I'm expecting a plump, sweet grape.
ReplyDeleteI literally laughed out loud when I read this. I wish I could have seen your face!!!
ReplyDelete(sorry)
Ewwwwwwwww. That would have been a shock.
ReplyDeleteMy 55 is posted.
Sounds interesting...Savory might taste good on nan..hehehe
ReplyDeleteExcellent 55 MBW.
But remember..Quid Pro Quo!!

Thanks for always playing so well, and have a GREAT Week-End....G
what I didn't say is that after the initial shock to my taste buds, I ate the flat bread.
ReplyDeleteYuk. Now stuff a chicken with the toast.
ReplyDeleteGood 55.
Oh I am sorry that couldn't have been a pleasant experience. Well I hope you get a chance to eat your cinnamon topped bread soon. I hope you have a great weekend. My 55 is up.
ReplyDeleteLOL! I did just that once. Only worse. I gave my son Betadine solution instead of liver tonic, just because I was not wearing my glasses!
ReplyDeleteI just realized I keep my cinnamon and Old Bay seasoning in the same cupboard, on the same shelf, probably because they both fit so nicely there. You better believe I'm barefooting it to the kitchen right now to change things around! Good Flash 55--I enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteWhale: I have the same problem with vodka and water. Guess which I prefer.
ReplyDeleteEw!!! I thought I was alone in making mistakes of that nature.
ReplyDeleteSounds so much like something I would do!
