Who is the old man in the glass? Is this some kind of funhouse mirror that progresses age like a police computer program? The eyes he recognizes without question, but the face is that of a stranger. What once were only token lines and wrinkles are now carvings, chiseled by the many ravages of time.

Now that's alot of wrinkles. I feel young now. Well done!
ReplyDeleteIf you didn't have a Green Day song playing I would have to sue you for using my photo without permission!
ReplyDeleteI loved this. So realistic.
ReplyDeleteI think we all look in the mirror and wonder... when did that change? How'd that get there? I look at a picture from just two years ago and wonder how I can look so old now in comparison.
They just don't make mirrors like they used to! Grin. Nice post.
ReplyDeletewell i just really noticed my first lines this year... but i will tell you ,, i am pissed... i never in a million years believed getting old would happen to me......
ReplyDeleteI'm in my fifties. Changes coming fast. My damned mirror lies !!! :-)
ReplyDeleteWow, that was a great 55. I can relate to a certain extent. My wrinkles have already begun, but I surely don't feel old enough for that yet. :D
ReplyDeleteWO that man looks like he is made of stone! There is a turning point in life, when you look in the mirror and ACTUALLY SEE yourself changing. I am going through that THIS year and it is really really scaring me. ( and quite frankly Pissing me off)
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the 3 words baby!
Instantly I think of Oscar Wilde's story "Picture of Dorian Grey".
ReplyDeleteBeuatifully worded!
