Each week G-Man of 55 Flash Fiction Friday cajoles me to write a story using only 55 words. I am writing this one a day early because I am on a drug regimen and don't know what day it is.
A young left fielder from Chicago was drafted by the Washington Nationals. He was instantly a fan favorite. The crowd was eager to see what he could do as the team was struggling badly. He never actually got up to bat but at the end of the season he was selected league Most Valuable Player.

I would say that that is the most succinct and literally accurate thing that has been written about the Chairman since I called him a clueless idiot a few days ago. I am, as usual, considerably impressed. Of course, not having your gift for simile or metaphor, my humble offerings do not rise to your standards. Nonetheless, simply sharing subject matter with you increases my stock tremendously.
I wish I had said that!
What a clever analogy! As his "seasons" continues on I don't think much will change. Maybe him and Tiger could hang together.
Hope the drugs clear out and do their trick! clo
an all too true 55...
nicely done...
poor casey has struck out.
mine is up!
I always used to say..."Life is no ball game"!
But maybe I was wrong...
Excellent 55 Rick.
Keep up the good work.
Please have a Kick Ass Week-End.
Galen
Whale: For a moment, albeit brief, I thought it was you in that photo!
Drug regime? Stick with Lucky or Heidelberg, you will do much better.
nice 55 and fun reading I never knew he played ball interesting.
Happy Birthday Galen
Excellent...in such a few 55 words you've said it all.
My 55 is all the "F WORDS" this week. Here it is...don't be alarmed tho...trust me
Great 55. Mine is up and I hope you have a fantastic weekend.
Whale: I didn't seriously mean all that brewski! Hope you are doing okay.
