This weeks Sunday Scribbling’s prompt is “Forbidden”. This is a great word that conjures up lots of ideas. Then I came across these Dog Rules and there was only one way I could go with this.
Dog Rules
1. The dog is not allowed in the house.
2. Okay, the dog is allowed in the house, but only in certain rooms.
3. The dog is allowed in all rooms, but has to stay off the furniture.
4. The dog can get on the old furniture only.
5. Fine, the dog is allowed on all the furniture, but is not allowed to sleep with the humans on the bed.
6. Okay, the dog is allowed on the bed, but only by invitation.
7. The dog can sleep on the bed whenever he wants, but not under the covers.
8. The dog can sleep under the covers by invitation only
9. The dog can sleep under the covers every night.
10. Humans must ask permission to sleep under the covers with the dog.
Skooter is absolutely forbidden from my bed. He knows it and I know it. Somehow my position as master has been compromised. Hey, I am the superior being here. I have opposable thumbs and everything!!!!.

Oh yes, I can see Skooter knows the rules......
and he doesn't seem to be too stressed about the fact he isn't following them. :)
Thanks for sharing the "Dog Rules". Just to let you know, it's the same at my house. Roxanne rules!
lets face it rick... at our age the most gratifying thing about being in bed is having the dogs there too.......
With a face like that how could you resist? What a cutie.
As I sit here in a black turtleneck covered in forbidden DOG HAIR from my lovely missy named Lily who is prancing around the front lawn with a stick in her mouth as I type this.......She has managed to get full run of the house and our hearts.....
I loved this post. :)
At least he has the decency to look all sweet and apologetic!
Awwwww, How can you resist that face? Rules are made to be broken, anyway.
This made me chuckle and remember all our dogs who were the bosses, too! Thanks for the memories!
Not broken; adapted to suit - like all rules...eventually.
Oh, this is so funny! I had a dog once and went through the same transformation! Love it!
Your dog is so cute! and he has a few expressions that say, "I'm guilty". I like the rules.
Looks like we have similar dog rules at our houses. I sure love seeing pictures of Skooter. What a great looking dog!
There's a reason dogs can't read... so they don't have to follow the rules! :)
