There was apparently no theme this week so I came up with my own. That will teach you. My topic this week is some of my favorite quotations. I tried, unsuccessfully, to limit myself to 13, but as I am an undisciplined lout, that was impossible. None of these deserved to be cut. It took a lot of effort to prune my list to those listed below:

I use the first quote in a leadership course I teach to college students - and we actually use it around my house quite a lot too. The second quote accurately describes my hometown. I often tell people that when I would sneeze growing up, my phone would ring and a neighbor from down the road would say "God Bless You!"
I also love the Norman Schwartzkopf quote - hilarious! Hadn't seen that one before.
One of my personal favorite quotes is "The sole earthly judge of right and wrong is success." That is attributed to Adolf Hitler - and history has proven him prescient. His devastating campaigns failed and so have proven his beliefs and methods wrong!

I really like #17, in fact. Snowflakes, avalanches... you remember it. It's a good one.
Can relate to #2 coming from a village of 1800. Now I live in a city - I know my neighbours but also enjoy some privacy. People aren't as nosy in the city, in my view. Thank God.
