If I had a second chance
to live my life anew
What changes would I make?
What different things I’d do?
I’m sure I’d try to floss more
And read labels on what I eat
And make plans to use time wisely
And apply sunscreen in the heat
But those are things I intended
To do first time around
I doubt that I’d do better
With another set of downs
So I know if I was granted
A chance to live again
I’d pretty much end up
In the shape that I am in
I lived a full and happy life
I have few things to regret
I know I’ve made mistakes galore
And potentials never met
But if I had it all to do
And things that I could fix
I’d be the same man I am now
But I’d bought Microsoft in ‘86
But we don’t get a replay
To correct what went askew
So I don’t get another chance
To buy Wal-mart in ‘72

I've read some pretty heavy posts today from SS. Thanks for lightening up! Carpe deum... or whatever it is
Thanks for the comment. Some of these people need therapy. Lighten up, Francis.
Very clever and fun take on this prompt! I can relate to lots of these myself ;)
Thanks for taking the time to respond. I honestly would do little different in my life, except pay more attention and enjoy the little things more.
Or taken that job at Google a decade ago.
point taken. With my savvy, I would probably go back and buy Enron stock thinking, "maybe this time."
I loved your post and am glad you don't have a lot of regrets. Your second grade teacher is staying here with me on Lake Roosevelt and says hello. She loved the comment you left with raymond pert about life in second grade at Silver King. I look forward to reading more posts.
Tell Mrs. Woolum hello for me. There are very few teachers whose names I remember. I usually remember the good ones and the mean ones. She was certainly not the latter. Thanks for reading and commenting. It is nice to know someone is out there.
